5. The main genealogical lines
As for the male offspring, the most documented genealogical line is that of Giovanni Donato (born around 1560) / Mattia (born around 1580), from which most Cofrancescos of S. Lorenzello originated and descended. Also the Cerreto line was originated from S. Lorenzello, even though as yet there is no good evidence of a link with some of the Cofrancescos of the first and second generations that has been previously detailed.
Between 1600 and 1700 we also find the line of Silvio (born around 1578) / Giovanni Simone (born around 1620), which, though large at the beginning, had descendants only until the end of the 1700s and ended with Basilio Raffaele, born 18 September 1792, as the last male descendant of this line known today.
We have lost track of all the other Cofrancescos since the mid 1600s, in the sense that there are no further records of the male descendants in S. Lorenzello, but this does not mean that they could not have moved to other places.
