12. The Cofrancescos of S. Lorenzello

Of course some Cofranceso families remained in S. Lorenzello.  We can identify one main line who had descendants in S. Lorenzello. That is the one of Giovanni Tommaso Cofrancesco, the son of Giovanni Donato and Caterina Pacelli, and his son Francesco Antonio, from which Pasquale Cofrancesco, who was mayor of S. Lorenzello in 1819, and don Domenico Cofrancesco, who was a priest at S. Lorenzello between the end of the 1700s and the early 1800s, descended.

Another Cofrancesco also coming from this line that is worth mentioning is the “Magnifico” (magnificent) Antonio Cofrancesco, who appears in some legal acts of the end of the 1700s as an "attorney". Their descendants have been reduced over time to the increasingly few Cofrancescos living in S. Lorenzello today.
